Join FOCUS: Facing Forward
Are you a cancer survivor or a family member interested in participating in a study that promotes healthy behaviors after treatment?
We invite you to see if you're eligible to participate in FOCUS: Facing Forward.
We are currently recruiting participants for an intervention study, called FOCUS: Facing Forward, for African American adults who have completed treatment for early-stage breast or colorectal cancer and their adult family members. The overall goal is to improve lifestyle behavior engagement and quality of life by addressing both individual and family-level needs and maximizing the potentially synergistic effects of family support.

Cancer Survivors

You may be eligible to participate in this research study if you:

Completed cancer treatment between 2020 to 2025 for:​​​​

Early-stage breast cancer and are 45 years or older​

Or early-stage colorectal, lung, or prostate cancer, and are 50 years or older

Are willing and able to invite 1 to 4 adult family members to participate in the program with you
-
Identify as African American or Black
-
Are not meeting the recommended guidelines for at least one health behavior (nutrition, physical activity, sleep, screen time, medical plans, or tobacco cessation)
